Help & FAQ
How do I join a class?
On the assignments screen, scroll down to "Join a class" and enter the code your teacher gave you. Make sure you're using your school email address.
Why can't I paste text?
Solus records your writing keystroke-by-keystroke. Pasted content is intercepted and shown as a sealed card — it won't be part of your certificate. Type the text out instead to include it.
What does the provenance panel show?
The panel on the right tracks your keystrokes, active writing time, and signing status in real time. Your teacher sees a tamper-proof certificate of this when you submit.
How do I submit my work?
Click the Submit button in the top-right corner when you're ready. You'll see a summary of your writing stats before confirming. Submission is final.
Is my work saved automatically?
Yes — your draft saves to this browser every 20 seconds. Do not clear your browser data before submitting, and avoid switching devices mid-assignment.
Something went wrong — who do I contact?
Reach out to your teacher or your school's IT department. For technical issues with Solus, email soluseditor@gmail.com.
Your signing key is ready.
Solus created a personal ECDSA-P256 key pair for your account. Every document you write will be signed with it, so teachers can verify your authorship — even if the file is copied or moved.
This key is tied to your email address. Don't share your account — shared accounts produce certificates that can't be attributed to one person.
